Meet Mary K. Bush

Chairman of Bush International, LLC.

Mary Bush is Chairman of Bush International, LLC, a firm that advises corporations and governments on strengthening banking and financial systems as a strategic initiative to support free enterprise. The firm also advises clients on financing and market development strategies. Mary Bush is internationally recognized for her expertise in international finance, banking, and corporate governance, having served three U.S. Presidents under Presidential appointment as well as senior executive leadership positions. Her achievements include the creation of new methods of financing for Fortune 500 companies and new funding structures at the IMF and World Bank. Ms. Bush also served as Chairman of The HELP Commission which was designated to transform $30 billion of U.S. foreign aid to support human capital development and entrepreneurship. In 2012, she was selected as one of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) 100 top directors on boards in the nation.

Her professional career includes serving as COO of the Federal Housing Finance Board and Head of International Finance at Fannie Mae, as well as U.S. Executive Director of International Monetary Fund (IMF).

She has served on the boards of many name recognizable leaders in industry, including Discover Financial, Marriott International, T. Rowe Price, Texaco, and United Airlines.

She holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude from Fisk University. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama and resides in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
